Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge is nestled in a remote wildlife sanctuary, deep inside a national park, on native land. Simply exploring this natural wonder is a favorite way our guests enjoy quiet time. The rocky beach along Aialik Bay is an excellent spot for skipping rocks and taking a long walk. Rock your cares away deckside, overlooking Pedersen Lagoon and Glacier, while playful otters and harbor seals keep watch from the protected waters. Inside the Lodge, a warm wood-burning fireplace keeps the lounge area cozy, and a telescope brings far away wonders up close for more thorough inspection (is that a bald eagle?).
Our Lodge also features a bar area, where beer and wine are served daily from late afternoon through dinner at an additional cost. Enjoy our collection of local history, flora, wildlife and Native history books in the library, or settle into a comfortable couch and read a book of your own.
Alaska Wildland Adventures is proud of our commitment to careful operational practices that protect the delicate environments of our Lodges. If you are interested in seeing how we keep the lights on and ovens baking in the Lodge, how we recycle and reuse, and some specific examples of green practices, our lodge managers will be happy to give you a tour.
