Guiding Principles for Alaska Wildland Adventures and Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge

AWA BELIEF #1: There's no substitute for experience.

Alaska is our home, and we've been committed to providing the highest quality trips from the beginning, over 30 years ago. We were among the first to offer raft explorations of the Kenai River into the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge, and we pioneered small-group explorations from the protected areas of the Kenai Peninsula to Denali National Park and Preserve. We know all the areas we visit intimately. Today, we are proud to offer the exclusive opportunity to stay at the only lodge within Kenai Fjords National Park: Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge.

AWA BELIEF #2: Our guides are more than guides; they're our most important asset.

Our guides love what they do and many return to work with us year after year. Trained under the most extensive program of any company we know, they are specialists in Alaska's natural history, are wonderful people to travel with and to get to know, and they will inspire you with their enthusiasm. Indeed, they'll guide your way to great adventuring.

AWA BELIEF #3: No need to sacrifice comfort.

Our goal is to share Alaska's wilderness without compromising comfortable accommodations. We pride ourselves on the quality of our food, menus, and customer service; having honed our approaches, from our systems to our recipes, over many years. We constantly listen to the feedback of our guests to better our trips and lodges each year. The quality of your trip is our unwavering focus.

AWA BELIEF #4: Smaller groups mean a bigger experience.

At Alaska Wildland Adventures and Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge, we pride ourselves in maintaining the "smaller is better" philosophy in sharing with you the wonders of Alaska's backcountry and Kenai Fjords National Park. If you are seeking rich experiences in this expansive place we call Alaska, think small. Small groups, small boats, small buses. Your rewards for taking the path less traveled? More wildlife. More hospitality. More insight. More authenticity. More friends. More memories. And many, many more smiles.
